What this can answer

It answers questions about the open-source projects we have actually run: which of two libraries to pick, whether a package is worth its install size, what broke when we built a repository, who a tool is not for. Every answer is drawn from the reviews on this site, so it can quote the measurement and link the page it came from.

Where the answers come from

Not from the model’s memory. Each question is matched against our own index of repository reviews and library guides — the same pages you can read yourself — and the answer is written from those. Every project in that index was cloned into a clean container, installed, built and tested; the numbers quoted back at you are the ones that run produced. The method is on how we test.

What it will not do

It will not invent a benchmark, recommend something we have never run, or pretend a project works when our build of it failed. If the index has nothing on a project it says so rather than guessing, which is the whole point of grounding it in our own runs.

It is also not a support desk for the projects themselves. For a bug in a library, go to that library’s issue tracker; for a mistake in one of our measurements, see corrections.

Prefer it inside your editor?

The same index is available to coding agents as an MCP server, so the recommendation arrives where you are already working instead of in a browser tab — see should-i-use.
